Paintings of the Maison Margiela 'Artisanal' '24 collection
A painting of wonderful Leon Dame opening the Maison Margiela Artisanal S/S 24 haute couture show in Paris in January 2024. The show opened with a Brassaï-inspired film directed by Britt Lloyd that transitioned seamlessly into a physical runway performance, for that is what this was, with body and garment working together with naturally considered poses and movements against a complimentary set, telling an evocative story. With every show, John Galliano and his team offer a different way of telling a story and this was sublime.
